el James. Wealleans, DMD
Dr. Wealleans is originally from New Zealand and moved to the USA whenhe was 19.He joined theUS Army as a dental assistant in 1995. While in the Armyhe became a Dental Hygienist and eventually a practice manager. In 2002,he enteredDental School at Nova Southeastern College of Dental Medicinein Fort Lauderdale, Florida.He graduated with honors in 2006 and was inducted into theOmicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Dental Society. After graduationhe entered theUS Air Force and completed a 1 year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) at theAir Force Academy in Colorado Springs. While in the AEGDhe applied and was accepted into the joint University of Texas Health and Science Center San Antonio (UTHSCSA)/ Air Force Endodontic program. In 2010,he received a Certificate in Endodontics and was assigned to Kadena Air Base in Okinawa Japan.One year later James became a Diplomate of theAmerican Board of Endodontics. CurrentlyDr. Wealleans is the Director of Endodontic Residency and Training atWilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center, Lackland Air Force Base. Dr Wealleans holds faculty appointments with UTHSCSA and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
